Fourways Vehicle Solutions Partners with Trakm8 to Revolutionise Fleet Maintenance

Published on 05 Feb 2025

Trakm8, a leading provider of telematics and vehicle technology solutions, is pleased to announce its latest partnership with Fourways Vehicle Solutions Ltd, a premier vehicle rental broker with over 20 years of industry experience.

This collaboration will see Fourways adopt Trakm8's Connectedcare vehicle health solution, enabling the company to enhance the maintenance and management of its 250-vehicle rental fleet.

Fourways Vehicle Solutions is known for providing hassle-free vehicle hire across the UK and overseas, offering a diverse fleet of cars, vans, and specialist vehicles. They faced the challenge of keeping their large rental fleet reliable, safe, and well-maintained. To overcome this, Fourways adopted a cutting-edge solution to streamline maintenance and minimise unexpected breakdowns.

Trakm8’s ConnectedCare solution, integrated into its Insight platform, provides Fourways with remote diagnostics and real-time vehicle health data. The solution reads vehicle diagnostic information directly from the CANbus network of cars and light commercial vehicles, offering fleet managers unparalleled visibility into the condition of their assets. This technology allows Fourways to monitor battery health and vehicle warning lights, such as ABS, traction control, DPF, and AdBlue levels, helping them to prevent costly repairs by identifying potential issues before they escalate.

The Insight platform provides real-time odometer readings, ensuring accurate and up-to-date mileage tracking. Combined with service interval alerts and maintenance reminders, this allows Fourways to better manage service schedules, keep their vehicles in peak condition, and minimise downtime.

By partnering with Trakm8 and utilising their ConnectedCare solution, Fourways Vehicle Solutions gains access to real-time vehicle health data, enabling them to proactively manage maintenance schedules, minimise unexpected repairs, and reduce the risk of breakdowns or accidents caused by poorly maintained vehicles. This early issue detection ensures their fleet remains roadworthy, safe, and reliable, enhancing customer satisfaction while protecting the residual value of their assets. By improving fleet longevity and avoiding costly repairs, Fourways can continue to deliver a superior experience to their customers and cut costs.

Andy Millichamp, Fleet Manager at Fourways Vehicle Solutions Ltd, commented:

“The data Trakm8 provides us is excellent and will greatly help in managing our maintenance schedules. The vehicle health insights we can access through the Insight platform are invaluable, enabling us to prevent breakdowns and keep our assets in top condition. This will save our business a lot of money in the long run while improving the experience for our customers.”

Kerry Gowland, Head of Channel Sales & Partnerships at Trakm8, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Fourways Vehicle Solutions as a customer. Our Connectedcare solution is perfectly suited to their needs, providing real-time insights into vehicle health and helping to reduce costs associated with unexpected breakdowns. We look forward to supporting Fourways in maximising the reliability and longevity of their fleet.”
